Anna Olsen's Profile

Anna Olsen is the Global Director of Intellectual Property at Treasury Wine Estates – one of the world’s largest wine companies, listed on the Australia Securities Exchange. Ms Olsen leads the company’s global IP group with team members located across Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore and the United States. In her role, Ms Olsen is responsible for the development and implementation of TWE’s IP policies and procedures, and the protection and enforcement of its IP assets, in over 150 countries worldwide – including the world-renowned wine brands Penfolds, 19 Crimes, Squealing Pig, Wynns, Pepperjack, Rawsons Retreat, Beringer and Beaulieu Vineyard. Ms Olsen has also been responsible for the development and roll-out of an award winning global brand protection programme to monitor and enforce against copycat and counterfeit operators in the online and offline space, and the implementation of TWE’s first in-house IP management framework. TWE’s IP team has been recognised by World Trademark Review as the Food and Beverage IP Team of the Year 2023 and Asia Pacific IP Team of the Year 2022. Anna has also been personally recognised as a Global Leader by WTR (2021) and is known for her strategic and positive mindset, ability to navigate and manage complex matters across functions and regions, and to drive legal and commercial results. She is also an engaged, caring and respected people leader who genuinely cares for others and aims to bring out the best in people.

Before joining Treasury Wine Estates, Ms Olsen worked in the IP corporate and litigation teams of top-tier firms in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and United Kingdom, for a range of leading brands in the fast-moving consumer goods, healthcare and fashion industries. Her formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Auckland, and she is qualified to practise as a solicitor in Australia, Ireland and New Zealand.
