Dawn Newton is a partner with Donahue Fitzgerald LLP in the Bay Area. She is co-chair of its IP group and heads its franchise practice. Ms Newton is recognised by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialisation as a certified specialist in franchise and distribution law. The bulk of her practice is focused on working with franchisors and providing ongoing franchise regulatory compliance services. Her clients include startup franchise systems through established medium-sized systems in a wide variety of industries including fast-casual restaurants, children’s education, fitness, retail, healthcare and more. She is also a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising governing committee.
