Section 2 of the Trademarks Act provides: “A mark shall be considered established if it has become generally known in the appropriate commercial or consumer sectors in Finland as a symbol specific to the owner’s goods.” Thus, an unregistered mark may, through use, come to enjoy the same protection as a registered trademark.
