ICANN goes head to head with registrar group over proposed new RAA
ICANN's negotiations with the Registrar Stakeholder Group Negotiating Team over amendments to its Registrar Accreditation Agreement seem to have turned into a battle of wills. While the discussions started in 2011, the issue has gained momentum as ICANN wants to oblige all registrars wishing to sell new gTLDs to sign up to the 2013 RAA. With the first registry agreements for new gTLD applicants likely to be signed soon, this clash could threaten to delay the launch of the new gTLDs.
