Jamina Apio

Founding partner, Apio, Byabazaire, Musanase and Company Advocates

Jamina Apio is a founding partner with more than nine years of experience in intellectual property, cyber issues, data protection law and alternative dispute resolution. As an advocate and accredited mediator, Ms Apio has a vast portfolio on IP matters with clients in the technology, beverages, household, construction, energy and telecoms industries. 

She is a member of the Uganda Law Society IP Cluster and the Uganda Registration Services Bureau IP Users Forum. She regularly contributes to the IP legal and regulatory framework, including the Industrial Property Act and the proposed Trademark and Geographical Indications Regulations. 

Ms Apio has an LLB from Makerere University and a postgraduate diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala.
