The national legislation governing trademarks is the Industrial Property Law, which is itself governed by the Industrial Property Regulations. These statutes’ principal objects are, among others, to establish the registration process and procedures for industrial property rights, and to protect Mexican industrial property by regulating and granting, among other things, trademarks, commercial slogans, trade names and patents.
