In Paraguay, trademark protection is set out in the Trademark Law (1294/98) and the corresponding Regulatory Decree (22365/98).Through Decree 16939/02 Paraguay adopted the Eighth Edition of the Nice Agreement. Therefore, since June 2003 the International Classification for Goods and Services in relation to trademarks has been in force in Paraguay.
