Akanksha Kar, an Associate Partner at LexOrbis with over 12 years of post-qualification IP experience (PQE), specialises in both non-contentious and contentious IP matters and risk assessment. She provides expert legal guidance and tailored solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients belonging to industry sectors, including IT, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, apparel, beverages, finance and telecom, on a broad spectrum of intellectual property services. Her practice includes brand clearance, trademark prosecution, trademark opposition, enforcement actions, infringement proceedings, tackling online infringement and dealing with counterfeits, domain name disputes and rendering legal opinions. She is currently heading LexOrbis’s Trademark prosecution division/department. She is presently serving in the ‘Harmonization of Trademark Law and Practice Committee’ for the present term. She has authored several articles published in the India Business Law Journal, INTA, Chambers and Partner, World Intellectual Property Review, Asia IP, Lexology and Mondaq, to name a few.
