Moïra is partner at Hoogenraad & Haak. She was admitted to the bar in 2005. Ever since, she has advised and litigated on patent, copyright, design and trademark matters. She is a committed strategist with vast litigation experience, who is able to keep matters simple and act pragmatically where that serves the case at hand. Before joining Hoogenraad & Haak in 2014, Moïra worked as a lawyer at IP boutique firms Brinkhof and Klos Morel Vos & Schaap. As of July 2020 Moïra has been appointed as a Deputy Judge with the Court of Appeal in Den Bosch. She also is a Domain Name Panelist for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) rendering decisions in .nl country code domain name disputes.
Moïra is an active member of several professional associations, including the Dutch Association of Intellectual Property Law (AIPPI/VIE), the Dutch Advertising Law Association (VvRr), the Benelux Trademark and Design Law Association (BMM) and the Dutch Association for Copyright Law (VvA). She also has been admitted to the Dutch Association of Intellectual Property Law Litigators (VIEPA) and also to the international (francophone) society Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles (l’APRAM). Furthermore she is a member of the Marques Designs Team. She publishes, teaches and lectures regularly on subjects related to her practice. Furthermore, she is chairing and co-author the Dutch AIPPI group reports on ‘Requirements for protection of designs’ and ‘Bad faith trademarks’.
