Ranjan founded the specialist IP law firm, RNA, Technology and IP Attorneys in 2004 and is now its managing partner. He has more than 27 years’ post-qualification IP experience, both contentious and non-contentious. Ranjan during his career spanning 27 years, has both in-house and international experience. The combination has given Ranjan both an acute awareness of the need for commercial solutions and the international service experience.
Ranjan currently advises a wide range of FMCG companies, software companies, start-ups and fintech companies on IP and technology management issues focusing on digital environment. He is recognised as an expert in IP clearance, acquisition, protection, exploitation and enforcement. He advises and deals with issues such as domain disputes, data privacy, trade secrets, licensing, and technology transfer issues.
Ranjan has been ranked as a leading IP practitioner by various publications including WTR 1000, IP Star (Managing IP), WIPR Leaders, Who’s Who Legal, Asia IP Experts and others. Ranjan is regularly invited to speak at universities, research institutions and chambers of commerce on IP issues. He has authored several articles and papers on key IP issues that are published by IP magazines and blogs such as IAM, World Trade Mark Review, Bloomberg, Lexology, Patent Lawyer and IP Kat. Ranjan has also served as a board member with the International Trademark Association (INTA).
