Out now: WTR 300 2024 celebrates in-house excellence

This year's WTR 300, which identifies the leading lights of the corporate trademark world, is out now. See who has been recognised for their world-class expertise and ongoing efforts to protect brands around the globe.

Now in its eighth edition, WTR 300: The World’s Leading Corporate Trademark Professionals identifies the trademark counsel performing duties to the highest standards, adding true value to their organisations and exemplifying the qualities to which others should aspire. The list illustrates the stellar expertise available to companies as they seek to create, protect and build value based on strong brands. 

The WTR 300 is the result of a lengthy research process. Between September and December 2023, WTR surveyed the global trademark community to elicit nominations for individuals who should be considered for inclusion. 

Nominations considered factors such as:

• innovation in the prosecution and/or enforcement of trademarks; 
• successful portfolio exploitation and management;
• determination and diligence in promoting efficient cooperation with external partners; 
• engagement with the wider trademark and business communities;
• dedication to fostering a deep understanding of trademarks both within and outside their organisations; and 
• effective oversight of internal processes and teams.

Only individuals who received multiple nominations from outside their own organisations were long-listed for consideration. The editorial team then engaged in additional research before deciding on the final list. 

While the results were based on extensive objective research, the final decisions remain the subjective opinions of the WTR team. We cannot promise that every corporate trademark counsel who deserves to be described as a world-class industry leader has made it into this publication. If you believe that someone has been overlooked, we would like to hear from you, and we encourage participation in the next round of nominations for the 2025 edition.
